Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer direct billing?
Yes. Our therapists can direct bill most major insurance plans. Check our “Meet The Team” page to confirm your therapist’s providers. Bring your insurance details to your appointment — we’ll bill directly when possible, or provide a receipt for reimbursement.
Do you take SGI injury claims?
Yes. Some of our therapists accept SGI (motor vehicle accident) claims. Please call the clinic directly and let us know when you book so we can match you with the right therapist. Have your claim number ready when you book.
Do you take WCB injury claims?

What happens during my first visit?
Your therapist and you will go over your health history intake, which can be completed prior to your appointment online and should be found in your emails. Your RMT will perform an assessment and further discuss your treatment goals. Your therapist will then explain to you the treatment protocol they believe will best help you achieve your goals. They’ll go over informed consent; explaining how you’ll be professionally draped, ask about any areas you feel uncomfortable with being treated, discuss pressure, and make sure you’re comfortable before starting.
What should I wear? Do I have to undress?
Wear something comfy to make assessment and clothed techniques most effective. You will be completely covered with a sheet and professionally draped only uncovering the area being worked on. You do not need to undress, or if you prefer to stay more covered (for example, keep shorts or a top on), just tell your therapist — we can adapt our treatment.
Will I feel sore after my massage?
Mild, workout-like soreness can happen. If this occurs you will often see relief 24-48 hours following treatment. Rehydrating, engaging in light exercises or light stretches in addition to a hot bath, shower, hot tub or sauna and followed by adequate rest can help prevent soreness and enhance the benefits of your treatment.
How often should I come in?
If you’re dealing with a specific issue (ie; neck tension, headaches, jaw pain, low back pain, etc), weekly sessions at first can help you make progress. After that, a lot of people move to a maintenance routine which can be anywhere from 4-8 weeks depending on your needs and lifestyle. Your RMT will give you a recommendation.
Do you offer prenatal / pregnancy massage?
Yes. We offer prenatal massage and use a supportive pregnancy bolster so you can rest comfortably and safely. We focus on common pregnancy issues like low back, hips, feet, shoulder tension, decreasing stress and increasing relaxation. Please let us know you’re pregnant (and how far along you are) when you book.
Can I book with a male massage therapist?
Yes. We have a male RMT available. You can select him online when you book if that’s your preference. Jesse is available Wednesdays (2:00 PM – 7:00 PM) and Saturdays (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM).
